AGAMREE Phase 1 Results

Santhera Pharmaceuticals Holding AG has announced top-line results from a two-part Phase 1 clinical study of AGAMREE, conducted by its North American licensing partner, Catalyst Pharmaceuticals. The study evaluated the glucocorticoid and anti-inflammatory activity of AGAMREE while assessing immunosuppressive effects. Results showed that AGAMREE demonstrated expected on‑target glucocorticoid receptor activity and comparable cortisol suppression at clinical doses, with less pronounced immunosuppressive biomarker effects compared to deflazacort. This suggests potential use as a treatment across a broad range of chronic inflammatory rare diseases.
