Cadence Design Systems (CDNS) reported first‑quarter 2026 results on March 28 2026 that surpassed consensus estimates. Revenue of $1.474 billion represented an 18‑19% year‑over‑year increase, with a GAAP operating margin of 29.3% and a non‑GAAP margin of 44.7%. Net income per share on a non‑GAAP basis was $1.96. Bookings rose 21.4% YoY to $1.49 billion, and the company announced a record backlog of $8.0 billion, largely driven by accelerating AI demand and the launch of its AgentStack orchestration framework alongside new AI Super Agents, ViraStack and InnoStack. The IP segment grew 22% YoY, spurred by AI, high‑performance computing and automotive workloads, while System Design & Analysis revenue increased 18% after acquiring Hexagon’s Design & Engineering (D&E) division.
