IMCD Acquires Merit

IMCD N.V. has entered an agreement to acquire 100 % of Merit Solution Co., Ltd., a Thai distributor that supplies additives to the plastics and compounding sector. Merit Solution, staffed by 24 employees and operating a laboratory in Bangkok, recorded revenues of approximately THB 406 million (≈EUR 10.7 million) in 2025. The transaction will bring Merit’s additive expertise into IMCD’s existing portfolio, allowing the company to present a holistic solution platform to compounders and converters across Southeast Asia. Closing is expected in the third quarter of 2026, pending customary conditions. The purchase aligns with IMCD’s expansion strategy; in 2025 the Dutch firm generated EUR 4,779 million in revenue and employed more than 5,200 staff worldwide, positioning it as a leading global partner for speciality chemicals and ingredients.
