SalMar Acquires Måsøval

SalMar (SALM.OL) agreed to pay 3.4 billion Norwegian kroner, or 39.5 kroner per share, for Heimstø's 70% interest in fish‑farming company Måsøval (MAS.OL). The salmon producer will satisfy 10% of the total purchase price through the issuance of 733,906 SalMar shares, while the remaining consideration will be paid in cash. Heimstø may sell the consideration shares back to SalMar for 461.4 kroner apiece within 12 months from completion of the deal. Subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions, the transaction values Måsøval's entire share capital at 4.84 billion kroner.
