Smartbird AI Pivot

Allbirds (BIRD) has changed its corporate name to Smartbird and appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Nadia Carlsten as chief executive officer and board member, replacing Joe Vernachio. Carlsten, who previously led DCAI and partnered with Nvidia to launch an AI supercomputer, is expected to drive the company’s pivot from a footwear brand to an artificial‑intelligence infrastructure provider.
