Hospital‑at‑Home Initiative

In a separate development, Philips has been selected to lead a consortium with Cuviva and Vingmed for a hospital‑at‑home initiative in Sweden’s Region Stockholm. The eight‑year agreement, driven by Karolinska University Hospital, will deliver advanced remote‑monitoring technology for up to 15 000 patients with complex or chronic conditions each year, ultimately covering more than 2 million people over the contract period. The program will embed Philips’ patient‑monitoring expertise, interoperability and data‑integration capabilities, Cuviva’s IT platform for digital monitoring and communication, and Vingmed’s clinical measurement devices. Patients will receive hospital‑level oversight in their homes, with video consultations, secure chat, and continuous vital‑sign tracking, aiming to ease pressure on hospital beds and clinical staff while expanding access to high‑quality care for an aging population. The initiative represents a scalable model that could extend to other European regions.
