On the balance‑sheet side, net income (loss) available to shareholders for Q1 2026 was ($792 million) compared with $112 million in Q4 2025 and ($294 million) in Q1 2025. Adjusted earnings (loss) were $239 million for Q1 2026, versus $214 million in Q4 2025 and $235 million in Q1 2025, after accounting for actuarial adjustments and other insurance‑related expenses.
