The deal follows a strategic partnership formed in 2023, in which Tempus already held a significant equity stake in Personalis. Tempus CEO Eric Lefkofsky stated that the transaction positions both companies “collectively well positioned to capture this opportunity,” while Personalis CEO Chris Hall highlighted that the acquisition provides the scale and complementary capabilities needed to accelerate innovation.
