Alstom Portugal Deal

Alstom secured a €1.03 billion contract to supply 153 Adessia Stream trains to Comboios de Portugal (CP), the largest train purchase in Portuguese history. The order, slated to be booked in Alstom’s 2025/2026 financial year, will see the trains built in a new Portuguese facility that the company will establish, creating nearly 300 direct jobs. The contract is part of CP’s strategy to upgrade regional and suburban services, with the trains tailored to the Portuguese network for enhanced comfort, accessibility and onboard connectivity. Alstom’s 30‑year presence in Portugal and its focus on sustainable mobility position the company to meet the country’s industrial development and job‑creation goals while boosting its own earnings and growth prospects.
