Credit Rating Upgrade

Compass Minerals International, Inc. (NYSE: CMP) has announced that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded the company's corporate credit rating to 'B+' from 'B' with a stable outlook. This upgrade reflects S&P's view that Compass Minerals' debt paydown and improved profitability have lowered its adjusted leverage ratio to 3.1x for the last 12 months, down from 4.2x.
