Three‑Year Deal

Odfjell Drilling (ODL.OL) secured a three-year contract from Vår Energi (VAR.OL) for the Deepsea Bergen semi‑submersible rig, starting in early 2028. The Norwegian drilling and engineering company said Thursday that the estimated contract value of firm backlog under the letter of intent stands at $518 million. The contract award extends Deepsea Bergen's firm contract backlog to the first quarter of 2031.
